Master Thesis: Integrated Engineering Data Transformation: An AML-based Approach for Efficient Data Exchange. Within the DIAMOND Project
Developed an efficient, tool-supported modeling approach to enable the transformation and integration of engineering data across diverse disciplinary domains.
Conducted a state-of-the-art analysis focusing on the PPR (Product-Process-Resource) methodology, AutomationML (AML) standard, and digitalization of engineering data logistics.
Analyzed current engineering data exchange workflows, identifying inefficiencies and manual data transfer issues through abstract use cases modeled using AML.
Designed a methodology for seamless engineering data integration using a common concept-based approach, derived from stakeholder input and literature research.
Implemented a prototype application and validated it using diverse test cases, with active feedback from stakeholders to ensure usability and practical effectiveness.
Conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the proposed approach, benchmarking it against existing methods and highlighting its potential for broader adoption in manufacturing.
