📄 Overview

This project involved the design and development of a customized liquid dispensing system integrated into the automated cooking robot. The system utilized a peristaltic pump for precise liquid transfer, designed to fit within the space and operational constraints of the robot.

🎯 Objectives

  • Develop a dedicated liquid dispensing system using peristaltic pump technology

  • Handle complete New Product Development (NPD) from ideation to production

  • Optimize design for compact space, ease of manufacturing, and system efficiency

🧠 What I Did (Role: Mechanical Design Engineer, PIC)

  • Led end-to-end development from concept design, 3D modeling, and proof of concept to final manufacturing

  • Designed and prototyped parts using 3D printing, followed by metal machining for production

  • Collaborated with the electronics and software teams to integrate the system and select suitable electronic components

  • Managed material sourcing, procurement, and vendor coordination

  • Focused on cost-effective design, efficient use of space, and seamless system integration
