Rear and Front Parking Assistance System
🔧 Tools & Technologies:
CATIA V5, 3D Printing (Prototyping), Ultrasonic Sensors, Kit Drawing Preparation, Feasibility Reporting, Testing & Validation
📄 Overview
This project focused on designing and integrating a parking assistance system that uses ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles and notify the driver through audible signals. It enhances parking safety and helps drivers maneuver more easily in tight spaces.
🎯 Objectives
Design and integrate ultrasonic sensors onto the car’s bumper
Ensure sensor placement meets detection range and accuracy requirements
Provide design feasibility and validation for OEM approval
🧠 What I Did (Role: Project In Charge)
Took complete ownership of sensor design and positioning on vehicle bumpers
Used 3D printing for prototyping sensor mounts and validating physical integration
Interacted regularly with the electronics team for technical inputs and alignment
Shared feasibility reports and discussed integration challenges with clients
Created kit drawings and participated in product testing and documentation
Worked directly with Honda as the key OEM client for this project
